Unicorns of Diving turns fellowship into action through youth outreach, water safety, marine conservation, education, and meaningful community service.
Service Is Part of Who We Are
Unicorns of Diving is a Black scuba diving community built around more than the dives themselves. Service gives our members another way to support one another, invest in future generations, and contribute to the communities and environments that make our experiences possible.

Serving Our Communities
We volunteer together to support local families, nonprofit programs, community initiatives, and causes that matter to our members.

Youth and new participants gain exposure to swimming, scuba diving, mentorship, marine science, and opportunities they may not have encountered before.
Protecting Our Waters
We support conservation, cleanups, restoration, ocean education, responsible diving practices, and stewardship of the environments we enjoy.
Expanding Access & Opportunity
Through outreach and partnerships, we help create more opportunities for Black divers and future marine professionals to learn, participate, and thrive.

Helping New Divers Enter the Water
During the 2025 Black In Marine Science Immersion Program, Unicorns of Diving helped participants build water confidence, earn scuba certifications, complete dives, and support conservation work.
From Nervous to Confident in the Water
One young swimmer began the Unicorns of Diving free swim lesson initiative nervous and unsure. With instruction, encouragement, and time in the pool, she developed new skills and growing confidence.
Showing Up for Local Families
Unicorns of Diving joined Truth Center Church’s Serve25 Back to School event to support local children and families. Members donated shoes, volunteered during the event, and contributed $500 toward the initiative.

ImPowered Minds of Florida Inc. supports youth through education, mentorship, and exposure to new experiences, including scuba diving and marine science.
Diving With a Purpose
Diving With a Purpose trains divers to protect, document, and preserve underwater cultural heritage.
Black In Marine Science
Black In Marine Science builds community, promotes ocean literacy, and increases visibility for Black professionals in marine science.

Volunteer, mentor, support conservation, strengthen local communities, and help create more opportunities for people to connect with the water and with scuba diving.
