Membership FAQ
Do I need to be certified to join?
No. Aspiring divers can join and start their training path through scuba lessons. Certified members can join trips that match their training and experience.
Do members get early access to trips?
Yes. Unicorn, Next Gen Unicorn, and Junior Unicorn members receive 72-hour advanced registration before nonmembers for eligible trips.
How long does membership last?
Each membership runs for 365 days from the day you join or renew.
How much does Auto-Pay save?
Auto-Pay saves $10 a year on paid memberships: $80 instead of $90 for Unicorn, and $40 instead of $50 for Next Gen Unicorn.
How does Junior membership work?
Junior Unicorn membership is free for divers ages 10 to 17. A parent or guardian emails UOD for the required forms. Junior memberships do not renew; on their 18th birthday, members upgrade to Next Gen Unicorn.
