Scuba Diving Club Membership Basics

I’m new to diving. Can I still join? +
Yes. Beginners are welcome. Unicorns of Diving helps new and returning divers connect with scuba training, club resources, and a supportive dive community.

Is Unicorns of Diving open to everyone? +
Yes. Inclusivity is part of the Unicorns of Diving community. We are a Florida-based Black scuba diving club that welcomes aspiring, returning, and active divers of every background. Membership and event requirements still apply.

How do I join the club? +
Visit our Join Now page to review current membership options. Junior Unicorns ages 10 to 17 should contact us because parental forms and additional information are required.

How do I renew? +
Renewal reminders are emailed 30, 10, and 1 day before your membership expires. Each email includes a renewal link.
You can also renew from the Profile tab when logged in.

How long does membership last? +
Membership is active for one full year from the date you join or renew.

Is there a family membership? +
No. All memberships are individual.

What is the difference between a Member and an Associate? +
Member: A paying Unicorn or Next Gen Unicorn who receives member benefits such as discounted dive trips, early access to select events, and merchandise discounts.
Associate: A non-paying supporter who connects with the club but does not receive member perks.

Do renewing members get merchandise? +
No. Merchandise is provided to eligible new members only.
Scuba Diving Trips and Events

How often are club dives? +
Unicorns of Diving hosts local dives along with regional and international trips throughout the year. Check our Events page for current opportunities.

Where do you dive? +
Many club dives take place around Florida, with additional regional and international trips offered throughout the year.

What if I paid for a trip but need to cancel? +
Contact us as soon as possible. Each trip has its own cancellation policy and refund deadlines.

How do I stay updated on events? +
You can subscribe to the club calendar using Google, Apple, Outlook, or the universal calendar feed.
Scuba Diving Safety and Logistics

What safety measures are in place? +
Club dives may include trained dive leaders, pre-dive briefings, buddy awareness, and support from the Unicorns of Diving Safety Team.
We also encourage divers to carry dive insurance and follow standard safe-diving practices.
Junior and Younger Divers

Can younger divers join? +
Yes. Junior Unicorns ages 10 to 17 are welcome. Parental consent and additional forms are required because they are minors.

What forms do Junior Unicorns need? +
Junior Unicorns need a signed parental consent form.
