Answers to common questions about joining, trips, safety, younger divers, and how the club works.

Membership Basics

  • I’m new to diving. Can I still join? +

    You can. Beginners are welcome. We guide you to training and help you start safely.

  • How do I join the club? +

    Use the Join link under the Membership menu on our website, or email us and we’ll help you get started.

  • How do I renew? +

    You get email reminders 30, 10, and 1 day before your membership expires. Each email includes a renewal link.

    You can also renew from the Profile tab when logged in.

  • How long does membership last? +

    Your membership is active for one full year from the date you join or renew. You’ll get reminders before it expires so you do not miss access.

  • Is there a family membership? +

    We do not offer a family plan. All memberships are individual.

  • What is the difference between a Member and an Associate? +

    Member: A paying Unicorn or Next Gen Unicorn who gets perks such as discounted dive trips, early access to select events, and merchandise discounts.

    Associate: A non-paying supporter who connects with the club but does not receive member perks.

  • Do renewing members get merchandise? +

    No. Merchandise is for new members only.

Trips and Events

  • How often are club dives? +

    We run local dives monthly and host multiple regional and international trips each year. Check the Events page for details.

  • Where do you dive? +

    Most dives happen around Florida with additional trips to regional and international destinations.

  • What if I paid for a trip but need to cancel? +

    Contact us as soon as possible. Each trip has its own cancellation policy and refund deadlines.

  • How do I stay updated on events? +

    You can subscribe to the club calendar. It supports Google, Apple, Outlook, and a universal feed link.

Safety and Logistics

  • What safety measures are in place? +

    Dives are led by trained divemasters or instructors. Our Safety Team provides briefings and support on every dive.

    We encourage all divers to carry dive insurance and follow standard safe-diving practices.

Younger Divers

  • Can younger divers join? +

    Yes. Junior Unicorns ages 10 to 17 are welcome. A parental consent form is required.

  • What forms do Junior Unicorns need? +

    Junior Unicorns need a signed parental consent form.
